The 2021 Land Rover Discovery has 3 recalls, the most serious involving electrical system faults that can cause the vehicle to lose power or shut down entirely while driving, raising the risk of a crash.
Two recalls affect the electrical system. A loose connection between the battery ground and the chassis can trigger various electrical faults, cutting power to the vehicle or its exterior lights without warning. On mild-hybrid models, a DC-to-DC converter issue can cause a sudden loss of drive power while underway. The third recall involves the rear seat belt retractors, which can deactivate their automatic locking function earlier than intended, preventing a child safety seat from being held securely in a crash.
