The 2007 Land Rover Range Rover has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the passenger-side frontal airbag inflator, which can rupture and send metal fragments into the cabin, posing a risk of serious injury or death.

These airbag recalls are part of the broader Takata inflator issue affecting many manufacturers. Over time, high heat and humidity can degrade the propellant inside the inflator, causing it to fire with excessive force or rupture entirely. Because moisture and temperature extremes are the key factors, vehicles in consistently hot and humid regions carry the highest risk. There is also a separate brake system concern: one or both flexible front brake hoses can rupture and leak brake fluid, which reduces hydraulic pressure at the front wheels. When that happens, stopping distances increase noticeably, and in a situation requiring hard braking, the vehicle may not stop in time to avoid a collision.
