The third recall covers a specific vehicle built in November 2016 where the passenger airbag inflator may have been assembled without an ignition booster tablet, meaning the airbag could fail to inflate properly in a crash and not provide the cushioning it is designed to deliver. Prior repair attempts for the broader Takata inflator issue did not fully resolve all affected vehicles, which is why multiple campaigns targeting the same component exist across this model's history.
