In the rear suspension, a bolt securing the tie-rod to the hub carrier may not have been fully tightened during assembly, which can allow the tie-rod to pull free and cause sudden loss of steering control. Finally, on V8 3.8-liter models sold as the Quattroporte GTS, a resistor in the low-pressure fuel pump circuit can fail, cutting engine power or stalling the vehicle while moving.
