The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte has 4 recalls, the most serious being incomplete welds on the front subframe that can fracture and cause sudden loss of vehicle control.
The subframe sits at the heart of the front suspension and steering geometry, so if those welds break, the driver can lose the ability to steer or brake predictably, raising the risk of a crash. Two separate fuel system concerns also affect this vehicle, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the underlying issue. A fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment can leak at its connections, and other fuel system quick connectors throughout the vehicle can also allow fuel to escape. In either case, fuel near hot engine components or any ignition source creates a fire risk. Owners with concerns about either the subframe or the fuel system should check whether their vehicle's VIN falls within the affected range for each recall.
