The 2018 Maserati Quattroporte has 4 recalls, covering two serious issues: front subframe welds that can fracture and cause loss of vehicle control, and fuel system leaks in the engine compartment that raise the risk of fire.
The subframe welds may be incomplete, and if they break, the front end of the vehicle can shift unpredictably, making the car difficult or impossible to steer. On the fuel side, two separate areas are affected: a fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment can leak at its connections, and fuel system quick connectors elsewhere on the vehicle can also leak. Either leak, near a heat source or ignition point, can result in an engine compartment fire.
