The 2015 Mercedes-Benz AMG S63 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the front roof panel, which can detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard for other drivers.
The roof panel concern appears in two related recalls: the adhesive bonding on certain vehicles may deteriorate and allow the panel to come loose, and a prior repair attempt to address this bonding issue may not have been performed correctly, leaving the same detachment risk in place. On the safety equipment side, the front seatbelts on certain coupes may have been installed on the wrong sides during assembly, putting the left belt on the right and vice versa. That incorrect positioning changes the angle at which the belt locks, and in a crash the belt may not hold the occupant properly.
