The roof panel concern covers two related scenarios: the original adhesive bonding the front panel between the windshield and panoramic sunroof can deteriorate and allow the panel to separate, and on vehicles that already had that panel replaced or repaired, the replacement bonding may also be inadequate, carrying the same detachment risk. Either way, the panel can come free at speed and land in traffic. On the occupant safety side, the seatbelt extenders on this coupe and convertible body style can fail to retract properly and may break in a crash, leaving the occupant without full belt restraint at the moment it is needed most.
