The 2019 Mercedes-Benz CLA 250 has 6 recalls, the most serious involving a front roof panel that can detach from the vehicle and become a road hazard for other drivers.
Two separate recalls cover this roof panel issue: one affects vehicles where the original bonding may have deteriorated, and a second targets vehicles where a prior repair attempt failed to bond the panel correctly. The result in both cases is the same — the panel can come loose while driving. Three recalls address the emergency call system, which can fail in ways that either prevent the vehicle from reaching an emergency services call center at all or send responders to the wrong location after a crash, delaying help when it is needed most. There is also a door latch concern specific to this model year: the right-side door locks may not have been properly made, leaving those doors unable to open from the outside, which complicates rescue efforts after a crash.
