The 2007 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 has 3 recalls, the most serious involving the driver's frontal airbag inflator, which can rupture during deployment and send metal fragments into the cabin.
The remaining two recalls involve occupant protection. Vehicles equipped with Freedman GO-3S foldaway seats may have a seat cushion that fails to lock in place when rotated to the upright position, leaving occupants without proper support in a crash or sudden stop. There is also a structural concern: some vehicles may have been fitted with incorrect A-pillar trim that does not meet the required impact protection standard, meaning an occupant's head striking the pillar in a crash may not receive the cushioning that standard trim would provide.
