The 2022 Mercedes-Benz Tourrider Business has 4 recalls, the most serious being a driver's seat backrest that may lack a retaining bracket and can fold forward in a crash, increasing the risk of injury to the driver.
Two other recalls affect passengers directly. The 120-volt passenger outlets may not be properly secured and can detach from their housings, creating a shock hazard for anyone who touches them. On vehicles equipped with a BraunAbility wheelchair lift, the outer barrier can deploy unexpectedly, potentially allowing a wheelchair to shift or roll off the platform during boarding or exit. There is also a structural concern: the roof hatch handle can break, which may prevent or slow evacuation through the emergency roof exit if passengers need to escape quickly.
