The 2005 Mitsubishi Galant has two recalls, the more serious involving a fuel tank mounting bracket that can split at the bolt point and allow the fuel tank strap to lose its anchor on the underside of the vehicle.

The brake recall involves a master cylinder that was improperly assembled and can deliver reduced hydraulic pressure, causing the brake pedal to travel further than normal before engaging and extending the distance needed to bring the vehicle to a stop.
