The 1994 Mitsubishi Montero has two recalls, the more serious being cracked front brake hoses that leak fluid and can reduce stopping power enough to cause a crash. The second recall affects vehicles fitted with accessory cargo mats in the third-seat and cargo area. The mat interferes with the latch mechanism on the folding third-row seat, preventing it from locking properly. In a crash, a third-row occupant may not be held in place and can be ejected from the vehicle.
