2013 MITSUBISHI OUTLANDER Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2013 Mitsubishi Outlander has 4 recalls, the most serious involving a front lower control arm that can detach from the suspension, causing a sudden loss of vehicle control and raising the risk of a crash. On the steering side, vehicles equipped with the 6-speed automatic transmission have a power steering fluid leak that can cause the steering to become heavy and difficult to manage, removing the hydraulic assist drivers rely on at low speeds and during turns. Two recalls affect the windshield wipers: water can work its way into the wiper motor and corrode it internally until it stops working, and separately, the same moisture can corrode the wiper linkage ball joint until the linkage separates and leaves the wipers inoperative entirely. Both wiper issues reduce visibility in wet conditions.
