The 2006 Mitsubishi Raider has 4 recalls, the most serious being Takata airbag inflators on both the driver and passenger sides that can rupture in a crash and send metal fragments into the cabin.
On four-wheel-drive models equipped with ABS, the brake control module can cause the rear brakes to lock up prematurely during hard braking, leading to sudden loss of vehicle control. There is also an electrical concern: a static electricity discharge from the driver can cause the turn signals, headlights, or windshield wipers to cut out without warning, reducing visibility and the ability to signal other drivers.
