On the occupant safety side, Crew Cab models have a rear seatbelt recall where the belt assembly may not restrain an occupant's head properly in a crash, allowing it to strike the metal bolt trim cap on the shoulder anchor, which raises the risk of head injury. There is also a labeling recall affecting trucks that had accessories installed at the factory: the accessories reduced how much weight the truck can safely carry, but the required load capacity label was never added, meaning owners have no way of knowing the reduced limit and may unknowingly overload the vehicle.
