The 2019 Nissan Titan has 4 recalls, the most serious involving tires that can develop a sidewall break and lose air suddenly or shed tread, and a wiring harness near the alternator that can short and cause the engine to stall or start a fire.
The tire issue stems from the Continental tires fitted to certain trucks, where overlong curing during production weakens the sidewall. The wiring concern affects gasoline models, where the alternator harness can be damaged and create a short circuit. The backup camera on some vehicles may fail to display an image when reversing, reducing the driver's ability to see what is behind the truck. On vehicles equipped with LED headlights, the aiming marks on the headlight housing may be incorrect, meaning the lights could be pointed too low or too high after a routine adjustment and leave the road poorly lit at night.
