The 2014 Porsche Cayenne has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a brake pedal that can physically dislodge while driving, leaving the driver with no way to apply the brakes.
A small retaining clip on the brake pedal's pivot pin may be missing, allowing the pin to shift and the pedal to separate from its mount entirely. Losing the pedal underfoot with no braking ability is a direct crash risk. On the electrical side, the instrument cluster can display inaccurate fuel levels, causing the engine to stall unexpectedly when the gauge still shows fuel remaining. This affects a range of trims including the GTS, S Hybrid, Turbo, and Turbo S built within a specific window in 2013. There is also a headlight alignment issue where the beams may be pointed too low to light the road adequately or angled in a way that blinds oncoming traffic.
