The 2023 Porsche Taycan 4 Cross Turismo has 4 recalls, all involving fire risk: three separate concerns with the high-voltage battery and one with the onboard charging cable that can overheat a home outlet.
All three battery recalls point to the same core danger: fire. In one case, insufficient sealant in the battery pack can let liquid collect inside, where it can cause electrical arcing and ignite. In the other two, the battery modules themselves can develop a short circuit, which also raises the risk of fire. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the underlying issue, which is why multiple campaigns exist for the same vehicle. The fourth recall concerns the compact charging system used with a standard 220V/240V home outlet: when the charger is set to 100 percent, some household outlets cannot handle the electrical load, causing the outlet or the charging cable itself to overheat and potentially catch fire.
