The 2022 Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo has 5 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage battery defect where an internal short circuit can cause the battery to catch fire.

Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve this issue, and multiple campaigns address the same underlying battery short circuit risk. Separately from the battery itself, when charging at home using a 220V/240V outlet at the 100% charge setting, some standard household outlets cannot handle the required electrical load, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat and potentially catch fire. On the safety equipment side, the seatbelt warning light and chime may fail to activate when a passenger is unbelted, leaving that occupant without a reminder to buckle up before a crash.
