The 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo S has 5 recalls, the most serious being multiple high-voltage battery recalls where a short circuit can develop inside the battery modules and raise the risk of a vehicle fire.

The battery fire risk is covered across several overlapping recall campaigns, but the underlying danger is the same: the high-voltage traction battery can develop an internal short circuit that may lead to a fire. A separate charging-related recall covers the compact home charging cable when used with a standard 220V/240V household outlet at the 100% charge setting. Some home outlets cannot handle the current draw required, causing the outlet or the charging cable itself to overheat, which also raises the risk of fire. This hazard exists at the wall outlet as well as along the cable, so it can affect the vehicle's surroundings even when the car is parked and unattended. On the electronics side, a software issue causes the seatbelt warning system to fail when a passenger rides unbelted: neither the warning light on the instrument cluster nor the audible chime activates as it should, leaving a passenger with no prompt to buckle up before a crash occurs.
