2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo S Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 Porsche Taycan Turbo S has 5 recalls, the most serious being a high-voltage battery defect where an internal short circuit can develop inside the battery modules and cause a fire.

Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the battery issue, and multiple campaigns address the same underlying risk. Separately from the battery, the onboard compact charging system carries a fire risk of its own: when the vehicle charges at the 100% setting using a 220V/240V household outlet, some home outlets cannot handle the current drawn, causing the outlet or charging cable to overheat. On the safety equipment side, the seatbelt warning light and audible chime for the passenger seat can fail to activate when that passenger is unbelted, leaving them without a reminder to buckle up before a crash.
