The 2023 Porsche Taycan Turbo S has 4 recalls, the most serious being three separate fire risks tied to the high-voltage battery, where liquid intrusion or internal short circuits can lead to an electrical fire.

The battery concerns cover the same system from a few different angles. In one case, insufficient sealant in the battery pack allows moisture or liquid to collect inside, where it can cause electrical arcing and ignite a fire. Two additional recalls address the risk of short circuits developing within the battery modules themselves, which can also result in fire. Because these issues involve the same high-voltage battery and carry the same fire consequence, prior repair attempts across earlier model years may not have fully resolved the underlying vulnerability. There is also a charging-related concern: when the compact home charging cable is used with a standard 220V or 240V outlet set to charge at 100 percent, some household outlets cannot handle the current draw, causing the outlet or the charging cable itself to overheat and potentially catch fire.
