The 2017 RAM ProMaster City has 3 recalls, the most serious involving side curtain airbags that may fail to inflate in a crash, leaving occupants without that layer of protection when they need it most.
A second recall covers certain vehicles equipped with a Kidde plastic-handle or push-button fire extinguisher. These extinguishers can fail to discharge properly, meaning the unit may not suppress a fire when used. The third recall involves the tire information placard inside the vehicle, which may list incorrect values for cargo weight capacity, the number of occupants, recommended tire pressure, or spare tire size. Acting on those incorrect figures could lead to overloading the van or running tires at the wrong pressure, both of which affect handling and raise the risk of a crash.
