Summary
The 2004 Suzuki Swift+ has 5 recalls, the most serious being a throttle that can freeze open in extreme cold, causing the engine to accelerate uncontrollably with no warning and raising the risk of a crash.
In very cold conditions, near or below -20 degrees Celsius, ice can form in the throttle body and hold the throttle wide open, either after the car has been sitting or while driving. Prior repair attempts on this issue did not fully resolve the problem, and the throttle can still stick even if earlier recall work was performed.
The other two recalls both involve the daytime running light module. In the more serious case, heat buildup inside the module can melt the unit and start a fire. A separate recall covers a range of electrical faults in the same module where the lights may flicker, stay on after the vehicle is shut off, or stop working entirely, with the dashboard indicator going dark.
