2010 SUZUKI SX4 Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2010 Suzuki SX4 has 5 recalls, the most serious being a GPS unit battery that can overheat and catch fire, and a shift lock defect that can allow the transmission to move out of Park without the brake pedal being pressed. On the safety equipment side, the passenger seat sensor mat that determines whether a child or adult is sitting up front can fail over time from repeated use, which may cause the airbag to deploy toward a child seated there. The outside rearview mirrors on certain trims can also lose their mounting screws from normal road vibration, causing the mirror to fall off the vehicle and reducing the driver's field of view. There is also a label recall where the tire and loading placard on some vehicles shows an incorrect tire size.
