The 2022 Triumph Bonneville T100 has 3 recalls, all centered on the same electrical hazard: alternator wiring that can short circuit, overheat, and start a fire.
The wiring that runs between the alternator and the main harness connector may not be routed correctly, leaving it exposed to heat and movement as the motorcycle is ridden. Over time, that exposure can wear through the insulation and cause a short circuit. The overheating that follows raises the risk of a fire breaking out on the motorcycle, and the sudden electrical fault can also affect rider control. Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, which is why multiple campaigns exist for the same underlying defect.
