The 2023 Triumph Bonneville T120 has 4 recalls, the most serious being two distinct safety issues: wiring near the alternator that can short circuit and overheat, raising the risk of fire, and a front brake disc that can loosen and detach from the wheel.
On the electrical side, the wiring connector between the alternator and the main harness can develop a short circuit that causes the wiring to overheat. Left unaddressed, that heat buildup can lead to a fire while the motorcycle is running. On the brake side, the left front brake disc can work loose from the wheel assembly and detach entirely. A rider may notice the front brake lever pulsing during braking as an early sign of a loose disc, but once the disc separates, front brake performance drops sharply, extending stopping distances in a situation where every foot counts.
