The 1975 Triumph TR7 has 3 recalls, the most serious being a broken connection between the accelerator pedal and throttle cable that leaves the driver unable to control engine speed.
The remaining two recalls both involve water getting into electrical components. The windshield wiper system can fail two ways: loose wiper linkages can burn out the wiper motor, and water entering the motor itself can also cause it to stop working, leaving the driver without any windshield cleaning in rain. The pop-up headlights on this model rely on a lift motor and limit switch to raise and lower the lamps, and water getting into that motor or its wiring connections can cause the headlights to fail to raise, leaving the vehicle without working headlights at night.
