THE VEHICLES HAVE A POTENTIAL FOR PERSISTENT ENGINE STALLING UNDER CERTAIN DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO A DISTORTION IOF THE CARBURETOR ACCELERATOR PUMP SEAL AND/OR A MALFUNCTION OF THE COOLANT CONTROLLED EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE SWITCH.
VEHICLES MAY HAVE A DEFORMED INNER HOOD PANEL WHICH COULD CAUSE MISALIGNMENT OF THE SECONDARY HOOD LATCH. A MISALIGNED SECONDARY LATCH MAY HAVE INSUFFICIENT ENGAGEMENT, AND IN THE EVENT THAT THE PRIMARY HOOD LATCH WAS NOT ENGAGED, COULD NOT PREVENT THE HOOD FROM OPENING DURING HIGH SPEED DRIVING.

THERE ARE TWO DEFECTS IN THIS RECALL. 1. THE CIRCUITRY CONTACT PIECE IN THE HEADLAMP DIMMER SWITCH COULD BECOME DISLOCATED CAUSING THE HEADLAMP TO FAIL. SUDDEN LOSS OF ILLUMINATION DURING NIGHT TIME OPERATION COULD REULT IN AN ACCIDENT. 2. INSUFFICIENT GREASE ON THE REAR WHEEL NEEDLE BEARING COULD CAUSE WHEEL BEARING FAILURE AND REAR WHEEL LOCK-UP. THIS COULD RESULT IN LOSS OF CONTROL AND VEHICLE CRASH.
