Safety Risk
An improperly secured seat belt retractor may not function properly in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Hyundai Motor America (Hyundai) is recalling certain 2020-2023 Sonata vehicles. A damaged check valve can allow air to enter the fuel tank, causing it to expand and contact hot exhaust components, melting the tank.
Safety Risk
A melted fuel tank can leak, increasing the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Dealers will inspect and replace the check valve. The fuel tank assembly will be inspected for damage and replaced if necessary. Additionally, dealers will inspect and update the engine control unit software. All repairs will be performed as necessary, free of charge. Ford Motor Company (Ford) is recalling certain 2020-2024 Ford Escape and 2021-2024 Lincoln Corsair plug-in hybrid vehicles. A manufacturing defect in one or more of the high voltage battery cells may result in an internal short circuit and battery failure.
Safety Risk
Battery failure can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash. Battery failure can also increase the risk of a fire.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Owners are advised to only use "Auto EV" mode and will be instructed by mail to limit the maximum charge of the battery until the remedy has been completed. On certain vehicles, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 20S73 (Transport Canada recall no. 2020-633) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.
On certain vehicles, the insulation for the engine cover may not be positioned correctly. As a result, some surfaces inside the vehicle could get hot while the engine is running.

If a person touches a hot surface, there could be a risk of a burn injury.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the powertrain software on vehicles equipped with stationary elevated idle control (SEIC) or battery charge protect (BCP).
On a small number of vehicles, the electric brake booster (EBB) may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the EBB control unit could overheat and cause a loss of power brake assist and stability control.

A loss of power brake assist could cause a sudden increase in brake pedal force and lead to an increase in stopping distance. This could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a loss of stability control could also increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to replace the electric brake booster.
On certain vehicles, the software update installed by a Ford dealer during recall 24S79 (Transport Canada recall no. 2024-781) may not be effective. As a result, a second repair is required.
On certain vehicles, a problem inside the high-voltage battery could cause a short circuit. If this happens, there could be a loss of power to the wheels and/or the high-voltage battery could overheat.
Note: This recall only affects certain plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEV) equipped with a 2.5 L engine.

A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A battery that overheats can create a fire risk, even while the vehicle is parked and turned off.

Yamaha Motor Company, Ltd. (Yamaha) is recalling certain 2018-2022 XMAX scooters. The camshaft retainer bolt may loosen and not properly secure the camshaft, resulting in an engine stall.

Remedy

On certain vehicles converted for wheelchair access by BraunAbility, the wheelchair tie-down retractors may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, the retractor(s) may not lock automatically. If this happens, the wheelchair may not be secured correctly and could move in a crash.
Note: This recall only affects certain Q'Straint QRT-DELUXE and QRT-MAX wheelchair retractors with the part number Q8-6200 or Q8-6209.

Remedy
To reduce the safety risk, BraunAbility recommends you confirm the wheelchair is secured properly by attempting to move it before driving until the recall repairs have been completed. BraunAbility will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a BraunAbility service center to inspect and, if necessary, replace the wheelchair retractor(s).
On certain vehicles, the engine may not have been manufactured properly. As a result, metal debris could cause the crankshaft bearings to fail. If this happens, the engine may run rough or may not start. This could also cause the engine to stall while driving.
Note: This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 3.4L twin-turbo engine. This recall is an expansion of Transport Canada Recall No. 2024-304.

On a small number of vehicles, a connection in the wiring for the passenger-front airbag may not have been secured properly and could loosen. As a result, the airbag may not inflate in a crash.

An airbag that doesn't work properly could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Remedy
None of the affected vehicles have been delivered to customers. General Motors will instruct dealers to repair the wiring for the passenger-front airbag before each vehicle is delivered.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2022-2024 Toyota Tundra, Lexus LX, and 2024 Lexus GX vehicles equipped with a V35A engine. Debris from the manufacturing process may contaminate the engine and cause the main bearings to fail, which can result in an engine stall and loss of drive power.
Safety Risk
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The remedy is currently under development. Once the repair is available, repairs will be performed free of charge. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed December 16, 2025.
