The affected vehicles have fuses that may have been incorrectly installed in the passenger side interior fuse boxes.
Safety Risk
If the fuses were not properly installed, they may lose electrical contact. In the event of a loss of electrical contact, certain systems may be impacted, including the function of the front passenger seat occupancy recognition system, the passenger side air bag indicator lamp, the instrument cluster and the windshield wipers. Should the function of the front passenger seat occupancy recognition system or the passenger side airbag indicator lamp be affected, the risk of injury for passengers in the event of a crash would be increased. Certain vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of CMVSS 206 - Door Locks and Door Retention Components. The front and rear passenger-side door latches may have been switched during vehicle assembly. This could result in a passenger front door which cannot be opened by merely pulling on the interior handle and a rear door that can be opened with a simple pull of the interior door handle even if locked. Such a condition could affect the safe exiting of the vehicle in the event of a crash or protection of children from inadvertent opening of the rear door.

On certain motorcycles, the gear position switch may malfunction. This can cause the wrong gear to be indicated on the motorcycle's display.
