Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealer will inspect the manufacturing date of the throttle body of vehicles within the referent VIN range and replace those with a batch number between B4 and B11, inclusive. This recall supersedes recall 2003097.

On certain AMG S63 models, the engine may stall due to faulty software in the Engine Control Unit (ECU). Irregular RPM at idle could lead to unintentional engine shut-down prior to a vehicle stop. If this occurs, the driver may falsely interpret the unintentional engine shut down as part of the ECO start/stop system, which could increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
On certain vehicles equipped with a diesel engine, a software issue could cause the fuel gauge to display a low fuel level and turn on the low fuel light, even though the fuel tank is not nearing empty. This could cause the engine management system to wrongly shut off the engine to protect it from what it interprets as a low fuel condition. This would result in a loss of vehicle propulsion and a loss of power braking assist, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will update the vehicle software.

Engine oil may leak from the crankcase at the starter mounting point and pool on top of the crankcase. Continued use in this condition can allow oil to spill over onto the rear tire.
Safety Risk
If oil spills onto the rear tire, there is an increased risk of a crash, leading to personal injury or death.
Remedy
Kawasaki will notify owners, and dealers will remove the starter and seal the crankcase, free of charge. The safety recall began on August 8, 2012. Owners may contact Kawasaki at 1-866-802-9381.
On certain chassis cab trucks equipped with a Cummins 6.7 L high-output engine, a software problem could cause damage to the connecting rod bearings while the engine is warming up. As a result, a connecting rod could break and cause an engine failure. If this happens, oil could leak onto hot components in the engine compartment.
Note: A driver may notice abnormal engine noise if a connecting rod fails.
Safety Risk
A sudden loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, an engine failure could create the risk of a fire.
Remedy
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your truck to a dealer to update the engine calibration software. This will add enhanced engine warm-up protection.
