On certain vehicles, a fuel line quick connector could uncouple as a result of contact with a coolant pipe. Fuel leakage, in the presence of an ignition source, could result in a fire. Fuel leakage could also cause the engine to misfire and stall. Engine stalling would result in lost vehicle propulsion which, in conjunction with traffic and road condition, and the driver's reactions, could increase the risk of a crash. These issues could result in property damage and/or personal injury.
Safety Risk
No risk description available.
Remedy
Dealers will install a spacer ring to prevent contact between the fuel line quick connector and the coolant pipe.
