On certain vehicles equipped with an M6 manual transmission, the clutch master cylinder elbow may develop a hairline crack under normal operating conditions. A fluid leak from the clutch hydraulic system could cause the fluid level warning light to illuminate and a loss of gear-shifting capability.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain model year 2013 Buick Encore vehicles manufactured August 23, 2012, to March 1, 2013, and model year 2013 Cadillac ATS vehicles manufactured April 23, 2012, to May 1, 2013. In the affected vehicles, the driver and passenger lap belt pretensioner cables may not lock in a retracted position, allowing the seat belts to extend when pulled upon.
If the seat belts do not remain locked in the retracted position when under load, the seat occupant may not be adequately restrained in a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace both front the driver's and the passenger's lap belt pretensioners, free of charge. Parts are not currently available. GM sent interim notifications on October 7, 2014 and will send a second notification when remedy parts are available. The recall began on November 20, 2014. On certain motorcycles, the fairing side panels can loosen and detach from the vehicle while it is traveling at very high speeds. A fairing panel separating from the vehicle could strike the rider or passenger, another vehicle, a stationary object, or a bystander, causing property damage and/or personal injury.

On certain vehicles equipped with Push-to-Start/Stop (PTS) switch located at the bottom of the transmission shift controls, the switch could be inadvertently actuated, unintentionally causing the engine to shut off. An inadvertent actuation of the PTS switch would result in an audible chime through the radio speakers and a "Vehicle Switched Off" message on the vehicle information display. If the PTS switch is inadvertently actuated while driving, the restraint system may not perform as intended during a crash, which would increase the risk of injury and/or property damage.

On certain New Beetle convertible, a frontal crash sensor for the advanced (dual-stage) airbag system may fail. If this occurs, the airbag indicator light will illuminate, and the fallback algorithm will ensure the frontal airbags deploy if needed. However, in low-severity frontal impacts, the front airbags may deploy more forcefully than designed, increasing the risk of injury to out-of-position front seat occupants.

A heavy impact to the top of a rear seat belt buckle (high end load) may result in damage causing the buckle cover to displace downward and/or rotate relative to the latch mechanism. If a rear seat belt buckle is damaged, the buckle cover may interfere with the normal function of the buckle, which may ultimately prevent the buckle tongue from becoming latched or potentially remaining latched, increasing the risk of injury in a crash or other emergency situations.
