Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.
Safety Risk
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters, notifying owners of the safety risk, are expected to be mailed June 12, 2026. Additional letters will be sent once the remedy is available. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's numbers for this recall are D126 and H575.
Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. (Volkswagen) is recalling certain 2024-2025 AUDI Q4 E-Tron SUV, AUDI Q4 E-Tron Sportback, and 2024 ID.4 vehicles. The on-board charger (OCDC) may fail and stop charging the 12-volt battery, which can result in a loss of drive power.
Safety Risk
A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Dealers will replace the OCDC, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed on May 20, 2025. Owners may contact Volkswagen customer service at 1-800-893-5298 or Audi customer service at 1-800-253-2834. Volkswagen's number for this recall is 93CJ. Audi's number for this recall is 93FR.
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing (Toyota) is recalling certain 2021-2022 RAV4 Prime and 2022 Lexus NX450h+ plug-in hybrid electric (PHEV) vehicles. The electric current rectifying module contained within the DC-DC converter may have been damaged during production, which can result in an electrical short-circuit.
Safety Risk
A short circuit can cause the DC-DC converter to overheat, increasing the risk of a vehicle fire.
Remedy
Owners are advised not to charge their vehicles when the ambient air temperature is below or expected to drop below 41 degrees Fahrenheit (5 degrees Celsius). Dealers will replace the DC-DC converter, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 29, 2023. Owners may contact Toyota's customer service at 1-800-331-4331. Zero Motorcycle Inc. (Zero) is recalling certain 2021 SR, S, DSR, DS, FX, and FXS motorcycles. The DC-DC converter has an insufficient power output margin to operate the anti-lock braking system (ABS), instruments, lights, indicators, and any accessories that are connected to the accessory outlet at once.
Safety Risk
The DC-DC converter can shut off when its power capacity is exceeded, shutting off the ABS, instruments, and lights, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy
Zero will notify owners, and dealers will replace the DC-DC converter, free of charge. The recall began October 26, 2020. Owners may contact Zero customer service at 1-888-841-8085. Zero's number for this recall is SV-ZMC-021-019.
