The 2014 Aston Martin V8 Vantage has 3 recalls, the most serious involving seat heaters that can lose the ability to shut off and overheat to the point of smoldering, raising the risk of burns to the driver or front passenger.
On the drivetrain side, vehicles equipped with the 7-speed SportShift II automatic transmission can develop a cracked connector on the clutch fluid line, causing hydraulic fluid to leak out and leaving the transmission stuck in whatever gear it is in when the fluid runs out. There is also a door latch concern: the interior unlocking mechanism can fail to respond when the car has been locked from outside, potentially trapping an occupant inside the cabin.
