The 2016 Audi A3 Cabriolet has 3 recalls, the most serious involving a fuel system defect where fuel can leak through the charcoal canister filter and ignite if it contacts an ignition source.
The passenger airbag system also has a recall: a faulty electrical contact in the passenger occupant detection system can falsely register a malfunction and shut off the passenger airbag entirely, leaving the front passenger without airbag protection in a crash. On the lighting side, a software update inadvertently programmed into some vehicles disables the side marker lights when the parking lights or headlights are on, making the car harder to see from the side in low-light conditions and raising the risk of a collision.
