The 2018 Bentley Bentayga has 5 recalls, the most serious being a fuel supply module wiring defect that can overheat, melt the surrounding flange, and cause a fuel leak that may ignite a fire.

On the occupant safety side, there are two related concerns involving the third-row seatbelts. The upper seatbelt attachment point for third-row passengers may not stay connected to the vehicle in a crash, and in a separate issue, the bolts securing those same third-row seatbelts to the rear pillar may be too short, allowing them to pull free in a collision. Both problems leave rear-seat occupants without effective restraint when they need it most, and prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue. The side curtain airbags also have a concern: in a crash, they may not inflate properly, reducing the protection they provide for occupants along the sides of the cabin.

The fifth recall involves the rearview camera. When reverse gear is selected, the camera image may be obstructed or take more than two seconds to appear on screen, which can limit the driver's view of the area directly behind the vehicle while backing up.
