The 2018 Bentley Bentayga has 5 recalls, the most serious being a fuel supply module wiring defect that can overheat, melt the surrounding flange, and cause a fuel leak that may ignite a fire. On the occupant safety side, two related recalls affect third-row seat belt anchors on vehicles equipped with that seating option: the attachment bolts may be too short or the upper anchor connection may not hold in a crash, allowing the belt to detach and leave a rear passenger unrestrained. There is also a recall for the side curtain airbags, which may not fully inflate in a crash, reducing protection for occupants in a side impact. Rounding out the list, the rearview camera display may be obstructed or take longer than two seconds to appear when reverse is selected, reducing the driver's view of what is behind the vehicle while backing up.
