Defect
On certain 525I, 525IA, 525ITA, 530I, 530IA and 530ITA vehicles, the central locking system double lock feature could unintentionally be engaged with occupants and the door/ignition key inside the car. This could occur if any system components malfunctioned or if the car was locked from the outside (e.g. via the trunk lock), with the front passenger's door opened and driver's door closed, and the open door were then closed by a passenger entering the car with the key but with no means to exit, because the anti-theft features designed into the car would then be activated. In such a case, the doors could not be opened from inside, the windows could not be lowered and the engine could not be started, even with the key in the ignition switch.

Remedy
Central control Module will be replace with one that will alow window opening with the double lock feature engaged and the key in the ignition. This will allow a window to be lowered, so that windows can be unlocked with the key in the door lock.
