The 2020 BMW 750Li has 4 recalls, the most serious involving the brake assist system, where a failure can knock out anti-lock braking and significantly reduce stopping power, raising the risk of a crash.
Two recalls address rear camera visibility. In one, the rearview camera image can go missing or display a reduced field of view while reversing, leaving the driver without a clear picture of what is behind the vehicle. A separate issue can cause the backup camera display to show no image at all when the car is put in reverse. Both conditions create a blind zone that drivers backing up may not anticipate. There is also a child safety concern specific to the rear middle seat: the top tether anchor for a child seat in that position may not be easily accessible, meaning a child restraint installed without using the three-point seatbelt may not be properly secured in a crash.
