What can fail
The brake line and speedometer cable may be positioned too close together. When the fork compresses and rebounds, the speedometer cable can rub against and damage the brake line, causing fluid to leak and front brakes to fail.
What the fix does
Dealers will check the spacing between the brake line and speedometer cable. The brake line will be replaced if spacing is inadequate or damaged, and a protective sleeve will be added to the speedometer cable.
