Defect
On certain G3 vehicles, the lower control arms could develop a crack in the flange end of the control arm near the ball joint pad. With continued use, the crack could propagate to the ball joint mounting hole resulting in the separation of the ball joint from the control arm. This could result in loss of steering control and a crash without prior warning.
