2022 GMC TERRAIN Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2022 GMC Terrain has 3 recalls, the most serious being two safety issues of equal severity: tread separation on certain Hankook tires that can cause loss of vehicle control, and a fuel pump that can cut engine power and stall the vehicle without warning. On the tire side, the tread can separate while driving, which removes steering and braking response. The fuel pump issue can cause the engine to hesitate, trigger the check engine light, or shut off entirely while moving, with the engine potentially refusing to restart. There is also a seating concern on vehicles with a power driver seat that does not include the memory function: a bolt in the seat's height-adjustment pivot may be loose or stripped, allowing the seat to shift during a crash and putting the driver out of position relative to the seatbelt and airbag.
