The 2018 Harley-Davidson FLHCS ANV has 2 recalls, both involving the rear shock absorber, where a broken fastener or mounting tab can allow the shock adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a sudden loss of tire pressure and potential loss of control.

In both cases, the failure point is on the rear shock assembly: one recall involves a fastener that secures the shock absorber breaking free, and the other involves the mounting tab on the shock pre-load adjuster snapping off. Either way, the adjuster can shift into contact with the rear tire, puncturing or deflating it while riding.
