2020 Harley-Davidson Flhcs Complaints

The 2020 Harley-Davidson FLHCS has 2 recalls, both involving the rear shock absorber assembly, where a broken fastener or mounting tab can allow the shock adjuster to contact and damage the rear tire, causing a sudden loss of tire pressure and loss of vehicle control.

Prior repair attempts did not fully resolve the issue, and both recalls address the same underlying consequence: the rear shock adjuster working loose and puncturing or abrading the tire. A sudden rear tire deflation on a motorcycle can make the bike difficult or impossible to control, raising the risk of a crash.
