1999 HARLEY-DAVIDSON TOUR GLIDE (FLT) Recalls — Canada & USA

The 1999 Harley-Davidson Tour Glide (FLT) has two recalls, both involving the engine cutting out without warning while riding, which can cause loss of control and a crash. In one case, a cam sprocket bolt can lose tension or break, causing the engine to stop suddenly. In the other, the fuel tank vent system or the bank angle switch can malfunction and stall the engine mid-ride. Both failures share the same consequence: the engine quits with no warning, leaving the rider with reduced ability to control the motorcycle.
