Summary
The Isuzu NPR-HD has 4 recalls covering 2011, 2014, and 2023 model years, with the most pressing issue on 2023 gasoline-engine trucks where undersized fuse holder seals allow water to corrode the ignition coil fuses, causing the engine to cut out without warning while driving.
The 2014 model year has two separate recalls on gasoline-engine vehicles. One involves the accelerator pedal shifting sideways and catching on a floor bracket stopper bolt, which can hold the throttle open and prevent the driver from reducing speed. The other affects the transmission mounting bracket, where a manufacturing burr can prevent the bracket from seating properly against the chassis, allowing the fastening bolts to shear and the transmission to shift out of position, making gear changes difficult or impossible. Going back to the 2011 model year, rear wheel hub locking bolts that were not fully torqued at the factory can loosen and break, allowing the wheel assembly to migrate outward from the axle housing.
