2019 Isuzu Nqr

The 2019 Isuzu NQR has 5 recalls, the most serious involving rear outer wheel lug nuts that may not have been properly tightened at the factory, and can loosen until a wheel separates from the truck entirely.

A second chassis concern involves the U-bolts that clamp the rear leaf springs to the axle. These nuts can also be insufficiently tight and may loosen over time, allowing the rear axle to shift out of alignment. When the axle moves far enough out of position, the driveshaft can separate, cutting power to the rear wheels and stalling the truck without warning. On vehicles that were modified with a dual-steering setup, a small key component that locks the steering cross shaft in place can work free, causing sudden loss of control over right-hand steering inputs. These three issues each carry a meaningful crash risk and cover the truck's wheels, drivetrain, and steering at once.

The remaining two recalls both involve the odometer display on the instrument cluster. In one case, the odometer correctly measures distance in miles but labels the reading as kilometers, which can cause an owner to misread service intervals and delay critical maintenance. The other is a compliance issue for Canadian-market trucks where the display shows the unit label as miles when the underlying measurement is already in kilometers. Neither affects how the truck drives, but an incorrect mileage display can lead to servicing the vehicle later than intended.
