The 2008 Kawasaki Ninja 250R has 3 recalls, the most serious being a brake hose that can rub against the front fork during compression and wear through, allowing brake fluid to leak and reducing or eliminating front braking ability. A separate engine recall involves a blocked vent hole in the air cleaner case, where pressure builds inside the engine and can push the cylinder head cover gasket out of position, potentially leading to oil leaks or further engine damage. There is also a lighting concern: the taillight bulb can fail prematurely, leaving the motorcycle invisible to drivers behind it.
