2007 KIA SEDONA Recalls — Canada & USA

The 2007 Kia Sedona has 5 recalls, the most serious involving front lower control arms that can crack and break, causing sudden loss of steering and directional control. The control arm concern applies to vehicles registered in certain northern and northeastern states where road salt accelerates corrosion. On the electrical side, moisture can get into the anti-lock brake module and cause a short circuit that starts an engine compartment fire, even with the vehicle parked and the ignition off. There is also a hood latch issue where the secondary latch can stick in the open position, so if the primary latch is accidentally tripped while driving, the hood can fly up and block the driver's view. The fifth recall involves the brake light switch, which can fail to illuminate the brake lights when the pedal is pressed and can also prevent cruise control from disengaging, leaving following drivers without warning and the driver without full speed control.
