What can fail

The transfer case in all-wheel drive vehicles may lock up because it doesn't have enough lubrication.

What the fix does

Dealers will check the transfer case oil level and for leaks. They'll add oil if needed, replace leaking parts, or replace the entire transfer case if damaged.
